Our story

Scampo started with two brothers who wanted Bologna to have a different kind of fishmonger: the fish in the window, the kitchen behind the counter, nothing in between. What you see on the ice in the morning is what reaches your plate at lunch.

The fish counter, the day's catch on ice beneath the lit menu boards.

Behind them is a family that has lived off the sea for generations, as fishermen and as traders, and they are our first supplier today. Most of the fish comes from the Tyrrhenian and the Mediterranean, it changes with the season, and the counter is never quite the same as yesterday.

You can shop here and you can eat here. Take the fish home cleaned and filleted, or pick it at the counter, say how much you want and how you want it cooked, and wait for it at your table. We will do the rest.
